Just Between Us

I have so much to tell you!

Final Wishes

When I have finished with this earthly plane,

When my time has expired, I’ll not leave a stain.

I’ve considered my choices and I’ll not need a coffin.

This is a serious decision, and I’ve thought about it often.

Just incinerate my body, avoid the mold and rust.

Once burnt to ashes, climb a hill and blow away the dust.

Put me back in the humus from which I arose.

Maybe I’ll fertilize a flower or be a sneeze from a nose.

I only want my fingerprints to be left on those I love.

The best part of me will be transformed so I can reside with God above.

I hope to leave some wisdom, or knowledge of getting through this plight.

How to treat each other; when to give in and when to fight.

How to handle trouble when you are left alone in its wake.

How to give generously and show gratitude when you must take.

I don’t want to leave a body; let it go back to the soil.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust when I leave this mortal coil.

Until Next Time,

Your Friend, Tracy
