Nobody cares if I wear make-up or not. I used to think they cared and then I didn’t wear it and no one noticed. I even asked some people who might have cared and they cumulatively said, “Oh, I didn’t notice. You look the same as you always do.” Nobody cares.

Nobody cares if I fill my gas at half a tank or wait until I have 2 miles left to “E”. My dad used to care, but he died in 1988, so nobody cares.

Nobody cares if I am 10 minutes early or 10 minutes late. There’s no one else here for 30 minutes, except for the reception guy who unlocks the door and he isn’t always on time. Not only do they not care, but they also don’t know. I’m telling you nobody cares.

Nobody cares if I care, based on my own self-worth or if I have a standard of behavior I have imposed upon myself that exceeds the standards of others around me. I go for it, but NOBODY CARES.

I ate an untoasted mini bagel today. I just didn’t feel like taking the time or trouble to walk to and wait for the toaster. Guess what? “Nobody cares.

I filled my gas tank up at half-full this morning, but nobody cared.

I also wore make-up and came in exactly on time. I can hear you thinking it.  If I were reading this, I would be thinking it.  “Nobody cares.”

I don’t use commas when typing lists in a sentence and apostrophes in contractions. If that bothers you, which I doubt, nobody cares. Microsoft Word cares (not a body, so excluded from the specified circle of concern), because it has been driving me crazy with red scratches under all the errors…

I care about the blankets on my bed being square and straight and hanging evenly on both sides. No one who cares sees it and it still matters to me. Oddly, I don’t care about my bedside table being a crazy jumble of all the things right next to the mathematically prepared blanket structure. I’m sure nobody cares, though.

I am going to end this now, because if I went longer it would really be pushing the limit of an already tired list of things for which NOBODY CARES.
