Grandma’s Bathroom
A frilly curtain on the window by the sink.
A crocheted doll that hides an extra roll.
A furry lid cover and a contoured rug.
A pink plunger and a brush sit very near the bowl.
Decorative towels- too fancy to wipe your hands.
Flower shaped soap with unreal fragrance power.
Ancient Prell sits on the edge of the tub
With a curtain to pull, but no shower.
There’s a roll of pink Charmin in the holder on the wall.
Where, or better, when did she even buy that?
It was outlawed in 1987, so how long has it been around?
Everything is pink, including the well-worn, furry bathmat.
It’s very peaceful in this Pepto Bismol room.
With the sun streaming through the Contac Paper frosted glass.
Like a photo tucked in a scrapbook.
A place where time forgot to pass.
Until Next Time,
Your Friend, Tracy
