Friday comes just once a week,

But that’s the day we always seek.

If Tuesday and Wednesday could stop being so lame,

Maybe we would love them just the same.

But they don’t give us what Friday can.

Friday is fireworks and the ice cream man.

Friday is puppies and new car smell.

Those other days- just the hot place that ends with “L.”
